Banana mango ginger turmeric smoothie (vegan option)

You may have noticed that I like smoothies, it's a nice way to eat fruit and hydrate oneself at the same time with just a glass and a straw without having to sit at a table with forks and knives, it's also very convenient to take away.

You could say that making a good smoothie has nothing complicated but I like to share ingredient association ideas this is why as I was sick last week I wanted to prepare a nice exotic smoothie full with anti-oxidants and vitamins such as ripe banana, mango, almond milk (or other type of milk) and cousin spices that come from roots: ginger and turmeric (that has anti-inflammatory qualities, besides you can prepare it in an infusion with ginger, honey and lemon).

For this yellow monochrome smoothie, I'll give quantities as an indication but you can of course add a little more of mango or put less banana if you're not a fan or replace the milk by some other liquid such as coconut water for example if you want something less creamy.

Anti-oxidant banana mango spices smoothie

Serving : 2 large glasses

- 1 banana
- as much mango of banana in weight (around half a mango)
- 1 cup (250 ml) almond milk (or other milk)
- around 1/2 cup (100 to 150 ml) water
- 2 to 3 pinches ground ginger
- 2 to 3 pinches ground turmeric
- sugar of your choice (optional)

  • In the bowl of a blender, pour the fruit cut in pieces, add the milk, water and spices and blend until smooth. You can add more liquid if you like your smoothie less creamy. Add the sugar of your choice (honey, agave syrup, maple syrup, ground sugar...) if needed. Enjoy without waiting!
