Vegan rhubarb cardamom scones

--> recette en français

    Long time no see, right ?! I've been publishing some recipes on the French version of the blog but really didn't have time to translate them in English here but I've decided to slow down the rhythm because I want to be able to spend my spare time with some other activities too.

   But I could not not share this yummy scone recipe with rhubarb I love so much as it is in season. I hope you like it too! Scones are not that famous in France, I don't if they are where you live - unless you live in an Anglo-Saxon country or are from one of this countries of course 😁

{ Waiting for Christmas } Vegan option chocolate ginger biscotti

--> recette en français

   Let's end this week with my last sweet recipe of the year that you'll b able to do for Christmas holidays or whenever you're craving som chocolate and spices, to offer or just enjoy yourself, as a treat with som tea or coffee or a snack, dessert or even breakfast.

   I'm not a big fan of chocolate but I like to bake some recipes with it in Winter or holidays because I find it quite comforting and to add even more comfort and warm feeling, I used ginger, ground and candied, that makes a nice association with chocolate.

{Waiting for Christmas } Cinnamon cranberries biscotti (vegan option)

--> recette en français

    Christmas is just around the corner, so here are my last recipes for these holidays and yes, cranberries again! I love them and the season is so short, you have to enjoy them as much as possible. Last year, I had frozen some but as it is rare that I use frozen fruit now so I didn't even use them because, let's be honest, the texture is different and sometimes not appropriate for some recipes. Don't we appreciate fruit and veggies when they're in season after having waited for them impatiently, after all?

Quinoa flakes cookies (vegan, gluten free)

--> recette en français

    Long time I didn't published a new recipe here, I'm very sorry about that, I've been publishing on the French version but I've been doing long hours at my current job and I'm exhausted - or very busy with groceries, cleaning, cooking meals and taking care of Jesse, my dog - on my days off.

   I'll try to get back on track and publish the seasonal recipes I've published in French for the past weeks.

   About the recipe, I made these cookies last May, I love cookies as you can see on the blog and when I bought these quinoa flakes, I knew I wanted to bake them in a dessert and first went for cookies in order to make another recipe with them later on.

{ Jesse 4-year-old birthday } Banana gluten free dog cookies

--> recette en français

    Last year,  I prepared some healthy pumpkin cookies for Jesse 3-year-old birthday - muffins too but she liked the cookies way better - with healthy natural ingredients. This year, I promised her to bake a new recipe for her 4th birthday and she enjoyed these cookies last weekend.

   These two recipes are either eatable by our fury friends but also ourselves, so no problem if one of your kids you happen to grab one to taste. These cookies are vegan but do not forget that our dogs and cats are not vegetarian nor vegan, whatever our diet is and for whatever reason, they need to eat meat/fish or it could be dangerous for their health. However, a few vegetarian/vegan treats from time to time is not bad for them.

Dog healthy gluten free pumpkin cookies

--> recette en français

    Last Friday, my hairy little girl, Jesse, mixed shepherd, celebrated her 3rd birthday! Well, it's an approximate DOB determined by the Peta shelter that rescued her as she was found in the street by the animal pound unidentified when she was 9 month-old.

   She always gets little presents or a big one for her adoption birthday, her birthday and Christmas, treats, toys, plushies, a new comfortable bed...  just like any child! This year, I wanted to make her something myself because I had seen home made healthy treats on the Web for the past months and wanted to give them a try.

Lemon lavender olive oil shortbread cookies, lemon lavender icing

    Shortbread cookies are small yummy cookies but a little too rich in butter for me, this is why I rarely some. Last summer, I was in vacation at my mum's in Aveyron (in the South West of France) and I happened to try some lemon lavender shortbread cookies in bulk from an organic supermarket where I had bought other groceries and I found the association of flavors quite interesting.

  Since then, I was willing to try to find a recipe and so I took advantage of the blogger competition organized by l'Afidol (l'Association Française Interprofessionnelle De l'OLive) et les Huiles d'olives & Olives de France that is a French professional association of olive oils and olives to try a recipe of shortbread cookies but using olive oil, much healthier and savory, instead of butter, usual ingredient of this cookies.
